The St. Max School uniform policy is designed to reinforce the Christian virtues of modesty, self-respect, and respect for others as unique beloved children of God. All students are required to wear the St. Max School uniform. The school uniform will enhance the student’s sense of belonging, foster dignified behavior, and reduce distractions for better academic performance. The uniform policy is as follows:

Girls and Boys:
Hunter Green polo shirt (short or long sleeve)
Hunter Green turtleneck shirt
Navy blue school logoed sweaters
Navy uniform slacks (dark stitching only) in twill (Khaki pants for 4-6 gr)
Navy uniform walking shorts (September, October, April and May only)
School logo Sweatshirt (can only be worn with a collared shirt underneath)
School plaid jumper (grades K-3) School plaid skirts or skort (grades 4-6)
Belts are optional
No cargo-pocket pants or skinny pants
No "UGG" type boots worn during the school day
Clothing must be clean and in good repair
Hair: Hair must be neat and well groomed. Hair color should be natural looking. Hairstyles should be moderate. Jewelry: No jewelry except the following: a simple religious medal or cross on a necklace, a single pair of dime size or smaller earrings, or a single discrete modest ring.
Make-up and other body enhancements: No make-up may be worn. Permanent tattoos are not permissible on any visible area of the body. Body piercing and other styles of markings are not permissible.
Classroom teachers and staff will enforce the uniform policy. If a student is out of uniform a note will be sent home. Occasional non-uniform days will be allowed during the school year. Only appropriately modest casual dress will be allowed: Shirts must not have inappropriate pictures/sayings, shirts must have sleeves; no spaghetti straps, no low-cut pants, no underwear or midriffs exposed, skirts must be knee-length or longer. If the staff determines the casual dress inappropriate, the student will have to change into a uniform from the spare uniform box.
