On Monday afternoon, the students were greeted with a mysterious postcard. It gave them instructions to follow using cardinal directions. Students left the classroom in pairs and returned with more clues. At the end of the scavenger hunt, they discovered a small green suitcase filled with postcards and Holli Hobby’s book, Toot and Puddle. I read the book to the students and then they wrote a postcard to Toot and Puddle explaining if they were more like Toot who likes to travel, or more like Puddle, who prefers to stay at home.
