I am so excited to be preparing for First Eucharist with you!

"It is not to remain in a golden ciborium that He comes down each day from Heaven, but to find another Heaven, the Heaven of our soul in which He takes delight."

Dear Parents,

The second graders are reading the petitions for our All School Mass on Tuesday.  Please practice with your child over the weekend if they have a petition in their Home Folder.  Thank you!

On Monday we will be finishing up our poetry books.  The students have put their best efforts into them.  Please be sure to read them with your child.  They are   surely something to celebrate.

Tuesday’s End of the Year Picnic sounds like a fabulous way to enjoy our last day together.  I am really looking forward to it.  It is my understanding that the children are free to go home with their parents from the picnic.  Please BE SURE to have them say goodbye to me before you go.

THANK YOU for sharing your children with me!  I have become very attached to these young souls.  As their knowledge and skills have grown throughout the year so has their relationship with their best friend, Jesus.  I have very high expectations for this group.  They have diverse gifts that they recognize and celebrate in each other.  The way the love of Jesus is shared on a daily bases with one another through patience, compliments, polite words to express needs and words and deeds to help and encourage one another shows a maturity of faith like none I have ever witnessed at this age.  I am sincerely in awe and am filled with immense gratitude for the blessings of this year.  What a testament to the love, support and self sacrifice you their parents give unceasingly!

                                                God Bless, Christine Deutsch

P.S. A summer skills packet will be going home on Monday to keep minds spinning over the summer.

Dear Parents,

Thank you for getting the library books back to school.  Mrs. Green will let me know if there are any outstanding and I will pass on the information.

Next week is a BUSY ONE!

  • Tuesday is our production of Our Lady of Guadalupe.  It will be at 1:45 in the school gym.  If you are able come enjoy the story of how Mary appeared to Juan Diego in the hills of Mexico and find out how our church grew as a result.  Juan Diego is an excellent example of one who loved intensely and was willing to do whatever Our Lady asked of him.  As Father Nathan taught us in Mass this morning, we need to get down and do the dirty work so that the love of Christ may shine in the world.
  • Wednesday we will venture off to the MN Zoo to enjoy the amazing creatures that God created.  Please wear uniforms!
