Q. What is RaiseRight?
A. Scrip is traditional gift certificates that St. Max School purchases at a discount, and re-sells to participants at full face value to generate revenue.
Q. Why does St. Max School sell RaiseRight?
A. Scrip is a painless way our school can generate additional revenue without conducting a traditional fundraiser.
Q. What incentive is there to participate in RaiseRight?
A. St. Max School will offer your family a reduction in tuition equal to 50% of the profit generated from your Scrip orders. For example, if your monthly profit generated is $30 (or $270 for a 9-month school year), your tuition reduction is $135!
Q. What happens to the other 50% of profits generated?
A. The remaining 50% of profits generated will go toward school needs and to pay for Scrip administrative costs.
Q. How do I determine which vendors provide the greatest discount, thus generating the most tuition reduction for my family?
A. You can find a link to a complete list of vendors and their discounts on the Scrip page of the school website. You earn half of this discount as tuition credit. The other half goes to St. Max School.
Q. When can I purchase RaiseRight?
A. Your order must be submitted by 2:30 p.m. on order days indicated on the school website. There are no exceptions to this deadline. Late orders will be held until the next order cycle.
Q. How do I place an order?
A. There are two ways to place an order. You can use the paper Scrip order form, or go to www.ShopWithScrip.com to place an online order. You must use the St. Max School Enrollment Code: 6B94623D38131. You can either pay by cash or check. If paying by check, attach a check in the amount of your order payable to St. Max School, and forward to the School office before the order deadline.
Q. What denominations of RaiseRight are available?
A. You can find a link to a complete list of vendors on the RaiseRight page of the school website. If using the paper order form, the available denomination amounts are indicated on the form.
Q. Is there a minimum dollar amount required each order cycle?
A. No, there is no minimum dollar order. Likewise, you need not place a RaiseRight order each order period.
Q. Can family members or friends participate and contribute toward our family’s tuition reduction?
A. Yes! Simply make certain your family members or friends fill out a Participant Agreement form and on it, indicate that their 50% share of profit generated should go toward your family’s account. Or, include their order with your family’s order form.
Q. How and when will I receive my RaiseRight order?
A. RaiseRight orders for the 2023-2024 school years will be processed on Wednesday afternoons and made available for families on the following week on Thursday afternoon in the Thursday folders or picked up at the school office. Please note that holidays make for tighter timeframes. Please be aware that St. Max School is not responsible for lost or stolen RaiseRight once they are placed in a child’s backpack. Please contact us if other delivery arrangements are required.
Q. How can I remember to buy RaiseRight regularly?
A. Upcoming order periods are available in the weekly newsletter or on the RaiseRight page of the school’s website.
Q. When will my check be cashed?
A. Assume your check will be cashed on the date your order is due to the office. NSF fees will be charged to the check writer.
Q. Is RaiseRight tax deductible?
A. No. You are essentially receiving gift cards for the full face value of your payment. Please notify participating friends and family of this.
Q. Can I use RaiseRight at the same time I use other vendor discount cards?
A. Vendors may vary. Ask your retailer at the time you make a purchase.
Q. I have more questions, who can I contact?
A. Please feel free to e-mail us at [email protected]
